মেহেরপুর পৌরসভার উদ্যোগে শহরে ডেঙ্গুমশা নিধন অব্যাহত

করোনা ভাইরাসের পাশাপাশি সারাদেশে ডেঙ্গু পরিস্থিতি ক্রমেই ভয়াবহ রূপ নিচ্ছে। প্রতিদিনই আক্রান্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা বাড়ছে। বুধবার বিকালে “সচেতন হই নিজে বাঁচি, অপরকে বাঁচাই”‘ এই শ্লোগানে মেহেরপুর পৌরসভার ৭ নং ওয়ার্ডের মল্লিক পাড়া, বাসস্ট্যান্ডসহ বিভিন্ন এলাকায় চলমান ডেঙ্গু প্রতিরোধে বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচি হাতে নিয়েছেন পৌর মেয়র মাহফুজুর রহমান রিটন।
পৌর মেয়র মাহফুজুর রহমান রিটন জানান, পৌরসভার পক্ষ হতে মানুষকে সচেতন করার পাশাপাশি ডেঙ্গু মশা নিধনে নানা পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে। পৌরসভা কর্তৃক বিভিন্ন শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে ডেঙ্গু নিয়ন্ত্রনে জনসচেতনতা মূলক প্রচার ও লিফলেট বিতরন করা হয়েছে। পৌরসভা কর্তৃপক্ষ ফগার মেশিন ব্যবহার করে মশা নিধনে কাজ চলমান রয়েছে। পৌর মেয়র জানান, উন্নতমানের মশক নিধন ওষুধ স্প্রে করে মশা নিধন করা হচ্ছে। তিনি পৌরবাসীর প্রত্যেককে বাড়ি পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন রাখার আহ্বান জানান।

Dengue mosquito eradication continues in the city at the initiative of Meherpur Municipality

Rabbi Ahmed: Along with the corona virus, the dengue situation is becoming increasingly dire across the country. The number of infected patients is increasing every day. On Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Mahfuzur Rahman Riton undertook various programs to prevent dengue in different areas including Mallick Para, bus stand of Ward 7 of Meherpur Municipality with the slogan “Be aware, save yourself, save others”.
Municipal Mayor Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said the municipality has taken various steps to eradicate dengue mosquitoes besides making people aware. The municipality has distributed public awareness campaigns and leaflets on dengue control in various educational institutions. Municipal authorities are working to kill mosquitoes using fogger machines. The mayor said that mosquitoes are being killed by spraying high quality mosquito repellent. He urged every citizen to keep the house clean and tidy.
